Terms of Sale and Use - Hive Robots
These Terms of Sale and Use outline the rules and conditions for purchasing products from Hive Robots ApS. By placing an order through our webshop or other sales channels, you accept the terms stated below, including the limitations of warranty, liability, and return rights, and agree that all sales are made exclusively to business customers for research and development purposes.

- 1. Purpose and Scope
1.1 These Terms of Sale and Use (“Terms”) apply to all sales made by Hive Robots ApS (“Hive Robots”) through its webshop or other sales channels.
1.2 All information, products, and materials provided by Hive Robots are intended exclusively for research and development purposes. Products are sold as engineering samples and may only be used in laboratory environments.
1.3 This offer is directed solely to business clients: Entrepreneurs, tradesmen, freelancers, and public institutions. It is not intended for consumers as defined in § 13 BGB.
1.4 The products are classified as incomplete machines under the EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
1.5 Customer terms and conditions are excluded unless explicitly accepted in writing by Hive Robots.
- 2. Orders and Process
2.1 Orders are placed via the webshop. Payment must be completed at checkout.
2.2 Once payment is received, Hive Robots will process the order and initiate delivery arrangements.
2.3 Delivery times vary depending on product and model. Estimated delivery time will be specified in the webshop.
- 3. Prices, Shipment, and Payment
3.1 Prices shown on the webshop are in DKK and exclude Danish VAT and credit card fees, unless otherwise indicated.
3.2 Shipment cost shown on the website applies only to deliveries within Denmark. For international destinations, Buyers must contact Hive Robots for a shipping quote.
3.3 Payment methods: Major international credit cards are accepted.
3.4 Goods remain the property of Hive Robots until full payment is received. The Buyer may not resell or transfer the goods before ownership has passed.
- 4. Inspection of Goods
4.1 The Buyer shall inspect the goods immediately upon delivery.
4.2 Any defects or transport damages must be notified to Hive Robots in writing without undue delay.
4.3 If the Buyer fails to notify Hive Robots within a reasonable time after discovering a defect, the Buyer loses the right to make a claim for such defect.
- 5. Warranty
5.1 Warranty on robots is between 6 and 12 months, specified for each product. Warranty on batteries is maximum 6 months.
5.2 Warranty covers manufacturing defects but excludes normal wear, misuse, modification, consumables, wear parts, or operation outside intended use.
5.3 Hive Robots provides no guarantees of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
5.4 Warranty claims must be submitted in writing, including a description of the defect. Hive Robots will inspect the returned product and decide on repair or replacement.
5.5 The Buyer must bear the cost of transport when returning robots or batteries to Hive Robots’ office in Denmark for inspection and warranty claims.
- 6. Liability and Return Policy
6.1 Hive Robots is not liable for any damages resulting from the use of its products or information.
6.2 Hive Robots excludes any liability for indirect losses, including but not limited to loss of profit, production, goodwill, or data.
6.3 Products are excluded from any statutory right of return. Returns are only accepted with Hive Robots’ prior written approval, and any associated costs (including transport and handling fees) shall be borne by the Buyer.
- 7. Delivery and Risk
7.1 Delivery is made to the Buyer’s specified address.
7.2 Risk transfers to the Buyer once the product has been handed over to the carrier.
- 8. Force Majeure
8.1 Hive Robots shall not be liable for delays, non-performance, or damages caused by events outside its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, transport disruptions, pandemics, export restrictions, or supplier delays.
- 9. Export Control and Compliance
9.1 Products may be subject to export control regulations under EU, US, or other applicable laws. The Buyer is solely responsible for compliance with all export and import regulations in the destination country.
- 10. Safety and Use Restrictions
10.1 The Buyer is responsible for safe use, integration, and compliance with workplace and local safety regulations.
10.2 Products are not certified for consumer or industrial deployment and are intended strictly for research, education, and development use only.
- 11. Intellectual Property Rights
11.1 All intellectual property rights, including software, documentation, trademarks, and designs, remain the sole property of Hive Robots.
11.2 The Buyer receives only a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the software and documentation provided, limited to the intended use of the product.
11.3 No rights or ownership are transferred to the Buyer beyond this limited license.
- 12. Data Protection
12.1 Hive Robots processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Danish data protection laws. See the Privacy Policy for details.
- 13. Governing Law and Venue
13.1 These Terms are governed by Danish law.
13.2 For business Buyers, the courts of Copenhagen, Denmark, shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
- 14. Final Provisions
14.1 If any provision of these Terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
14.2 Amendments and deviations must be agreed in writing.
